Canmake Glow Fleur Highlighter

Hello Princesses,

Today I'm going to be talking about the Canmake Glow Fleur Highlighters! I picked these up for my full face of Canmake, and honestly also because I absolutely love the rose and bow print on the powder, the gorgeous pastel colours and the holographic design on the packaging. Like I literally couldn't help myself. I have the matte blushes from the same line to review next month too, so if you like these then please look forward to the blush reviews too!

It's a powder, but it doesn't feel powdery! An extraordinary texture that clings to your bare skin, as though the soft, light powder is melting into it. With a highly light-diffusing effect, Focus Powder softly obscures textural irregularities due to pores, for a translucent sheen! Contains sebum-absorbing powder (silica) to prevent make-up run. Highly oil-absorbent, it sucks up excess sebum

These highlighters come packaged in cute, functional and aesthetically pleasing packaging. The plastic outer feels a little cheap, but it's brightened up a little with the holographic details. Each highlighter comes with a teeny tiny little brush, which actually picks the powder up well and applies it well too, though it is very little and fiddly. I would use it if I had nothing else, but if I have the choice I will choose a bigger brush for sure. There are two shades in the range, Planet Light which has more blue tones, and Illuminate Light which has pinker tones.

Planet Light

Planet Light has a mixture of blue, white, mint, and pink roses. I didn't swatch each shade individually as it was almost impossible to only pick up one shade on my finger, these are deceptively small! This shade is best for Princesses that want a more obvious highlight, or whatever the current slang for a popping highlighter is these days, I can't keep up. The blue tones help this shade to stand out from my skin tone and look more obvious, but it still works really well with the product underneath and doesn't emphasise any fine lines or texture any more than necessary.

Illuminate Light

Illuminate light consists of pink, peach, yellow and white roses which may sound like an absolutely awful combination, but since they are so pastel the end result is a beautiful warm highlight. This shade is best for Princesses who are wanting to go for the more natural highlight look that might trick people into thinking that their skin is just naturally beautiful. This is the shade that gets the most wear from me!

Final Thoughts

These little highlighters are so cute, but they also work well and the two shades cover what I want out of my highlighters in general. I do enjoy having a more obvious highlight, Planet Light, for days when I may be going out to dinner or more realistically actually just filming Youtube videos (my life just isn't that exciting), but I wear the more natural highlight, Illuminate Light, on a day to day basis as a teacher. I find both shades equally as easy to apply, they look beautiful on my skin and don't look powdery or emphasise texture more than necessary. They also glow all day on my skin and don't look oily by the end of the day, though this generally isn't an issue for me anyway. Overall, if you enjoy the packaging and print on the powder I would definitely recommend these highlighters, they're pretty inexpensive too which is a massive bonus!

You can purchase the Canmake Glow Fleur Highlighter from Dokodemo for $12.42NZD each.
