Hello Princesses,

Today I'm going to be talking about the Neogen Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Wine! I have been curious about these little exfoliating pads for quite some time now, so last year when they were on sale I decided to pick them up! I used them once and really over did it (my face was soo over exfoliated) so I took a couple of months off exfoliating and did a little research on how to use these properly.

Exfoliation that is so easy, convenient, effective yet gentle. Patented hypoallergenic cotton gauze pads provide a dual texture layer to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, excess sebum, and impurities and softly wipe away exfoliated skin to even out textures while delivering skin benefiting ingredients in the process. Soaked in a wine serum containing potent antioxidants like Resveratrol; these convenient cotton gauze peeling pads will leave you skin looking smoother, brighter, tighter, and healthier.  Your daily glass of wine in a jar without the calories!

These peeling pads come housed in a massive plastic tub with a screw lid. There is quite a lot of excess liquid in the bottom so there is no chance of these pads drying out. The pads themselves are very interesting, one side is a rough gauze, the other is an ultra plush cotton, the gauze side will provide physical exfoliation, though if your skin can only handle the chemical exfoliation you can choose to only use the soft side. It is recommended to use both sides. These also smell so delicious, they smell like sweet grapes (or bubblegum!).

To use this pad I first use the gauze side to exfoliate my skin in a circular motion with a very light hand. I find that if I press too hard it will be too much for my skin, but with a light hand my skin can handle it!

I use the gauze side over my entire face, neck, hands and sometimes even the rest of my arms. There is quite a lot of liquid in these! Then I flip the pad over and use the soft side over all of the previously mentioned areas. I'm not sure if this side really adds anything of value, but it does feel very nice.

These pads contain both Glycolic and Lactic Acids which are fantastic AHA's. These help to remove any dead skin and reveal brighter looking skin! It is important to wash the liquid off your face afterwards otherwise your skin will be very sticky and that's really quite unpleasant. My face looks slightly pinker after this is rinsed off, but it feels so soft and beautifully prepped for the rest of my skincare.

Final Thoughts

Even after my first terrible experience with these exfoliating pads, I have grown to rather enjoy using them. I find them to be a very quick way to exfoliate my skin thoroughly, and did I mention that they smell like bubblegum? They are fantastically fun and easy to use, they're a great way to gently introduce skincare newbies into chemical exfoliation without scaring them off with wait times or anything too complex. The only downside for me is that they're not that portable, the tub is surprisingly big.

You can purchase the Neogen Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Wine from Beauty Tap for $27USD!
