The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil
Today I'm going to be talking about The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil! I picked this cleansing oil up on the recommendation of some of my lovely subscribers, and it sounded like such a lovely cleansing oil that I decided to check it out!
Brightening, deep cleansing oil effectively cleanses away impurities and heavy makeup from skin with its light watery texture. Plant-based ingredients such as Rice bran Oil and Jojoba Oil leave skin looking clean and bright. Formula without added Mineral Oil
This cleansing oil comes housed in a slightly pink tinted bottle with a pump top. The pump makes it really easy to distribute the oil and it doesn't seem to leak so far which I love! The oil itself is clear in colour and has a very, very thin slippery texture. It is also very scented, I can't describe the scent but it is very sweet and is very nostalgic to me! I find it really easy to use this oil since the texture is so thin, though sometimes I need to use a little more than usual because of how thin the texture is.
I used this oil on my full face of make up. I didn't include dark lipsticks or tints because no matter what, these stain my lips. I do find that this oil stings my eyes quite a lot which is obviously unpleasant. I found that this oil did dissolve most of my waterproof mascara, but you can see some leftover mascara on my eyelids. It did a fantastic job on my base make up and lips.
The best way to combat the stinging in my eyes is to simply use a different eye make up remover which I usually do anyway. I still use this oil on my eye area, but since I'm not massaging my eyes it doesn't really get into my eyes that way.
I really enjoy using this cleansing oil! I really like the scent and the texture, it's much lighter than most of the other cleansing oils that I've tried which makes it a very interesting product for me. The only downside for me is that it stings my eyes, but since I use a dedicated eye make up remover normally as my eyes are sensitive it doesn't matter all that much. I do find that when I use my normal eye make up remover the oil won't sting my eyes even if I do use in on my eyes quickly, because it's not in contact with my eyes for that much time. I do really enjoy using this cleansing oil and would definitely recommend it for those looking for a lightweight cleansing oil!
