Today I'm going to be talking about my shopping experience with Yesstyle! I have shopped with Yesstyle since the very beginnings of my blog, and it was actually the very first online store that I bought Korean Beauty products off back in 2012 (WOW).
I find Yesstyle very easy to shop with though there is a lot of option. Of course they also sell clothing and homeware too, so there literally is something there for most people. I find it easy to create a log in, find items, add them to my cart and check out.
Yesstyle has interesting prices. I find the best way to look at them is to be very critical of the sale percentage, but the "full price" of the product is often way way higher than it should be, so the perceived savings look much better. Take a look at this listing for the Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint which I would consider a pretty standard item. This screenshot was taken on the 24th of February.
Yesstyle's normal price in USD is apparently $11.27 (with the currency conversion as of 24/2/2018) which is more than double most stores, and quadruple the price of others. Here are some comparisons with sale prices included:
The sale price ends up being $4.48 in USD which is a pretty average price and actually still more expensive than most stores. I find this to be true of most of their listings, though sometimes you can get a good deal with the sales and they do stock some harder to find items.
Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner $13.44 + Shipping $4.10 = $17.54
Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner $10.86 + Shipping $2.50 = $13.36
Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner $17 + Shipping $12.50 = $29.50
Shipping and Packaging
I placed my order on the 2nd of January, it was shipped on the 25th of January as one of my items had a pre disclosed wait time of 21 days (it was out of stock anyway and they refunded me AND gave me a coupon for next time) and arrived at my house on the 1st of Feb. My order came in a small plastic bag and everything was bubble wrapped well.
Although I enjoy my shopping experiences with Yesstyle and will continue to shop with them as I have done for 6 years, I can't express enough how important it is to check that the prices are comparable to other stores because you really can be ripped off if you don't know what the price should be. I would be appalled to see if anyone had bought the Etude House tints for $11USD when you can get them for a quarter of the price at quite a few standard KBeauty stores. It is deceiving that they mark the original price up so high so that the percentage saved is much more dramatic, but it's up to the consumer to check that these prices are accurate before purchasing, so I always advise anyone that shops with Yesstyle to check the prices at somewhere like Roseroseshop or Jolse to make sure that the amazing deal they're getting from Yesstyle is actually amazing and not still more expensive than the average price.
