Hello Princesses,

Today I'm going to be talking about my shopping experience with Hikoco! Hikoco is a New Zealand based Asian beauty store, so this review is for any Princesses living in New Zealand specifically!

Website Practicality

Hikoco's website is pretty practical and easy to navigate. The big pictures are sometimes slow to load, but it all looks quite pretty. You can sort the items through types or brand which makes it a little easier to shop. Hikoco doesn't have the biggest selection of items so there isn't as much necessity for many filters. It's easy to add items to my cart, I really like that the top of the screen tells you how much more you need to purchase before you get to the free shipping tier and it's very easy to checkout. Hikoco accepts Paypal for purchases as well as Afterpay which allows you to split the transaction up over four weeks and four equal payments but your items still ship after the first payment.

Price Comparison

New Zealand based stores are more expensive than overseas ones because our minimum wage is generally higher. I chose to compare Hikocos prices with another NZ based store and one overseas. Hikoco comes out almost square in the middle in terms of it's pricing, and if I got to free shipping it would be the most inexpensive store. Due to the lack of selection, I was forced to choose something a little heavier to compare. All prices are in NZD.

Hikoco

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion $21.00 + Shipping $5.00 = $26.00

KoreanKiwiBeauty

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion $29.00 + Shipping $0.00 = $29.00

Roseroseshop

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion $12.83 + Shipping $9.91 = $22.74

Shipping and Packaging

I placed my order on the 9th of March, it was shipped on the 12th and arrived at my house on the 13th. If I hadn't have ordered at the end of the day on Friday my package would've arrived overnight. Everything in my package was well wrapped and they even spelt my name in Korean on the front of the package which is so cool! They also included a couple of free samples which I appriciated.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed my shopping experience with Hikoco! Being an NZ based store, Hikoco is a fantastic store for NZ Princesses to shop with as the have really great prices, free shipping over $50 and overnight delivery. The prices are higher than overseas stores, so they are not a store I would choose to shop with for a haul that contains lots of little items, but if I need something quickly or something that is a little heavier, then Hikoco is a great option for me.
